t has been an interesting year. The pandemic has changed the way we conduct ourselves in
Iall personal and professional spheres. Despite this challenge, the CUA has managed to pivot Guidelines Report ..............................6
nimbly and maintain its status as “The Voice of Urology in Canada”. Without the steadfast and
tireless efforts of the CUA corporate office and the extended volunteerism of your executive Office of Education Report ..............7
we would be in a much different state.
As you will read in this newsletter, our educational programs are alive and well, our finances Nominating Committee Report.......8
are in great shape, and our virtual annual meeting is all set to inform (and impress) members CUAJ Report ......................................9
and attendees. There is something for everyone this year. Special thanks to scientific co-chairs
Bobby Shayegan and Sero Andonian for assembling an innovative program with a diverse Health Policy Committee
panel of invited speakers. Please mark your calendars for the evenings of June 21-23 and Update ...............................................9
June 29-30.
This is my final newsletter entry as CUA President. It has been an honor to serve the CUA Communications Report ................10
membership as President during the last two years of change and uncertainty. It is now time to
pass the leadership on to President-Elect Dr. Hassan Razvi. All readers should by now be aware CUA Night School....................... 11-12
of his sustained efforts as CUA secretary. He has kept the CUA enterprise running smoothly for
the last five years. Hassan brings to the Presidency a vast knowledge of the Bylaws, the history,
and the finances of the CUA. His transition to the position of CUA President in June 2021 will no
doubt be seamless!
