Overall Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
• Recognize the DNA damage response (DDR) gene mutations that are involved in prostate cancer, and
their implications for therapy
• Integrate genetic testing for patients with prostate cancer into their clinical practice
• Describe the mechanism of action, efficacy, and safety of PARP inhibitors in order to employ these
agents for the treatment of prostate cancer with DDR mutations
• Explain the timing, monitoring, and management of adverse events
DDR, DNA damage response; PARP, poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase
