Study introduction and objectives

                • Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT) is standard of Objectives of study included:

care for Advanced Prostate Cancer (PCa) – evaluation of timeliness

                                                                                                                                  of ADT dosing
                • Luteinizing Hormone-Releasing Hormone (LHRH)

agonists are widely used to suppress serum – impact of non-adherence

Testosterone (T) to castration levels on T levels

                • Current castration level is T <50 ng/dl, however recent – frequency of T and PSA testing

evidence suggests <20 ng/dl is closer to postoperative in patients with PCa

                    castration

                • ADT effectiveness in clinical practice relies on

adherence to dosing schedule, correct mixing and

                    administration, and periodic T monitoring

                        • healthcare providers and patients may be

unaware of potential consequences of even
                           a short delay in dosing
SOURCE: Crawford E.D. et al.,The Journal of Urology. Vol. 203, 743-750, April 2020.
