Adjuvant BEP x 1 for Stage I NSGCT

• 51 patients from 18 centres treated with BEP x 1 and relapsed

• Primary end-point: OS and PFS after relapse

• Results:

• Median time to relapse 13 months (29% >3 years; 20% > 5 years!)

• 16% were intermediate or poor risk at relapse

• 50% received more intense therapy than BEPx3 or EPx4

• 29% experienced a second relapse
• 18% died of testis cancer or treatment complications

Conclusions: Relapse after BEP x 1 appears worse than those

with de novo metastatic disease. High rate of late relapse.
