Incontinence after Prostate Treatment (IPT)
• IPT includes most commonly SUI (Stress Urinary Incontinence), UUI (Urge Urinary
Incontinence) and mixed incontinence
• Prostate cancer causes 4 fold increased risk for UI
• Most common incontinence after prostatectomy
• 10-20% vs <2% after TURP or <4% after radiation
• Long term SUI post robot assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy of 8-16%
